Helping you build strength, confidence, and resilience for the long term

Many people come to New Wave Pilates because they know they need to do something to look after their body, but they are not quite sure where to start.

Some are dealing with back, shoulder, hip, or knee issues. Others are looking for a low-impact way to improve their strength, stability, and overall fitness. Many simply worry about whether they will fit in.

I understand those concerns. After living with a bad back for 25 years, eventually rupturing a disc, and spending years relying on strong painkillers, I know how frustrating it can be when your body is holding you back. Reformer Pilates became a key part of my recovery and completely changed how I move and feel.

What I have learnt is that while we are all different, we are all works in progress. We can all improve from where we are today.

In my classes, I make sure you understand what you are doing, why you are doing it, and how to adapt exercises to suit your body. Nobody should spend a class wondering what is going on.

Whether you are brand new to Pilates or have been attending for years, my goal is the same: to help you leave feeling stronger, more capable, and more confident in what your body can do.

If you give your best, I will give mine, and together the results can be amazing.

Carron
Instructor
Hi my name is Carron. I want to help everyone feel like they can achieve better mobility and strength, In a safe and fun environment.

Sometimes it is daunting and slightly uncomfortable doing something new, but that will only last a short while as Pilates is a fantastic way to forget everything and only focus on what you are doing. That was one of the reasons I fell in love with it. The by product of Reformer Pilates is that it will help you feel amazing, more mobile, supple and most definitely stronger.

I see the importance of keeping a healthy body and mind to invest in your future physical and mental health.

My teaching style is well structured as I focus on the breathing techniques and often remind you of your pelvic floor. I will always try to make the lessons fun and interesting. I am a big believer in laughter as we work out.

I first fell in love with Pilates as it really helped my mental health. In doing Pilates I could't believe how it made me feel. I always walked out of a class feeling amazing and mentally more positive. As I got stronger, gained more energy I became more confident. I believe Reformer Pilates is for everyone.

I want people to feel included and comfortable whatever their ability. Everyone should feel that they are individually cared for. When you leave I want you to feel like you have a greater ease of movement without pain or discomfort. it's also important to me that you leave feeling happy and positive.

I moved to Falmouth to be near the sea and do as much as possible on or in the water.

Beth
Instructor
Hi, I’m Beth. As someone who disliked sport in school, it now makes me smile that I teach yoga and Pilates full-time.
Over the years, my mindset around movement has completely shifted. I’ve learnt that exercise isn’t one size fits all - it can (and should) be something we genuinely enjoy and look forward to.

My aim is for you to feel excited walking into class, and to leave feeling stronger, calmer, and more energised. I want every session to feel like a welcoming, supportive space where everybody belongs.

In my Reformer classes, I love to bring a creative touch to each session, building playful yet purposeful sequences that challenge, recharge, and restore your body. I’m especially passionate about how Reformer supports alignment and posture, helping you feel more stable and balanced, all while being gentle on the joints.

It’s designed for all ages, bodies, and experience levels - and I can’t wait to meet you in class.

Lois
Instructor
Hi, I'm Lois! I love helping people feel stronger, move better, and feel amazing in their bodies. My experience is with athletes, but also with current and retired military personnel. Most importantly, I enjoy working with anyone who wants to challenge themselves, build confidence, and have fun along the way.

I enjoy working with clients who are recovering from injury, rebuilding strength, or looking to feel more confident in what their body can do.

I believe everyone deserves to feel strong and capable, regardless of their sporting background or previous experience. Reformer Pilates is for anyone who wants to move well, feel good, and continue doing the things they love for longer.

My classes are all about feeling good, getting stronger, and having a laugh along the way. I will encourage you to challenge yourself, while making sure you feel supported throughout.

Reformer Pilates builds strength in a way that suits all ages and abilities. It can help improve strength, muscular endurance, balance, and confidence, while being kind to your joints. You will probably discover muscles you never knew you had!

Expect plenty of encouragement, a good challenge, and a welcoming atmosphere. If we are going to work hard, we may as well have fun doing it!
